Release date: June 10th, 2021
This EP is my most significant one, and the one that still garners attention to this day thanks to the title track. It was written between April - June 2021, and it features a few fun glittery tracks along with some atmospheric ones. Tracks 4, 2 and 5 were released as singles (in order) leading up to the official EP release. I was playing around with a new reverb VST at the time, which helped achieve the sound on the final 2 tracks. The title track along with 'lost hope.' still continues to be some of my most popular tracks on streaming services, and I am eternally grateful for that. This would also stem the idea of using my production as catharsis, which would become more prominent in my later projects. I'm still proud of how this EP came out despite it having a few imperfections, and I recognise that it made an impact on my career.
There were a few scrapped tracks that would later resurface in 2022's album, which were: 'Aensland' (written in February 2021) and 'PUNKS JUMP UP TO GET BEAT DOWN' (written in April 2021, and an early demo of this EP that was given to a friend had that track included).
There were multiple physicals of this released. In late 2021, the same label ran by a good friend who helped me put out the 'Dreams Kill Dreams' CDs (Tatami Isopod Records), also handmade jewel cases for this EP. Later in mid 2023, I'd sell handmade CDs with a slim jewelcase, the cover + insert printed with glossy paper, and the CD itself would be spraypainted in dark blue.
Fun fact: Hakita, the developer of ULTRAKILL, bought this album in 2021, which I thought was absolutely crazy because I did not expect him to like my work. I feel honoured.
